What We Believe About the Bible
The Bible is God’s Word. It is not a collection of human opinions, religious reflections, or moral suggestions. Scripture is God’s revelation of Himself to humanity, given so that His people may know Him, trust Him, and live according to His truth.
God has spoken, and His Word is sufficient.

The Bible Is God’s Inspired and Authoritative Word
Scripture originates with God Himself. All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be complete and equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
Though God used human authors, Scripture is not merely human writing. Men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20–21). What Scripture says, God says.
Because God is its author, the Bible is trustworthy. God’s Word is pure, proven, and dependable (Psalm 12:6). It stands as the final authority for what we believe and how we live. Scripture reveals the standards by which God judges, and it remains the supreme measure for all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions.
The Bible Tells One Unified Redemptive Story
The Bible is not a random collection of disconnected texts. It tells one story: God redeeming sinners through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Himself taught that all Scripture points to Him. Beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He interpreted the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures (Luke 24:27). The Scriptures testify about Christ and reveal God’s plan of salvation (John 5:39).
From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals who God is, who we are, what went wrong, and how God restores what sin has broken. God, who spoke long ago through the prophets, has now spoken fully through His Son (Hebrews 1:1–2).
The Bible Is True, Trustworthy, and Without Error
Scripture is not partially true or conditionally reliable. God’s Word is truth without mixture of error. Every single one of the words of the Lord is trustworthy. (Psalm 12:6).
Because God does not lie or change, His Word does not fail. The sum of God’s Word is truth, and all His righteous judgments endure forever (Psalm 119:160). What Scripture affirms, we affirm. What Scripture corrects, we submit to.
The Bible Is Sufficient for Life, Godliness, and Mission
The Bible is not only true; it is sufficient.
God has given everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us (2 Peter 1:3). Scripture equips believers to live faithfully, grow in holiness, and walk in obedience. It is a lamp for our feet and a light on our path (Psalm 119:105).
The mission of the church flows directly from Scripture. The gospel is defined by Scripture. Disciples are made by Scripture. Faith is strengthened through Scripture. God’s people cannot live rightly, serve faithfully, or carry out Christ’s mission apart from the Word He has given.
Scripture shapes the church’s beliefs, practices, priorities, and direction. Not opinions. Not trends. Not preferences. Scripture alone.

Your Bible is the loudest voice of God you will ever hear this side of heaven.
Shoe-leather application
Before God uses your life to lead others, He will use His Word to lead you.
